Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak tree. It is naturally light weight, water repellent, stain resistant and fire resistant, and ages with style and character like leather but without the cruelty.
How to store: All our handbags come with a cotton dust bag. When not in use, store your cork item in the dust bag and out of direct sunlight in a position that doesn't crumple the item to help retain its shape.
How to clean: To keep your cork item in good condition, simply clean it with water and soap using a cloth or soft brush. It is important to wipe/rub gently when cleaning your cork item and do not use any chemical agents or abrasive materials as it could cause the cork to separate from its backing fabric. Once the cleaning is done, wipe the item with a clean and dry soft cloth and allow it to dry.
Piñatex is a natural, non-woven textile made from pineapple leaf fibre. It is a soft, versatile, lightweight and durable material, making it suitable for use across fashion, soft interiors, automotive and other applications.
How to store: All our handbags come with a cotton dust bag. Store your Piñatex item in the dust bag provided out of direct sunlight and in a position that doesn't crumple the item to help retain its shape. To keep your Piñatex product in top condition, we recommend polishing it lightly and regularly using a natural wax. It is best to leave in a warm (not hot) place for 24 hours then gently buff with a soft cloth. The use of Liquiproof Protector™ is also recommended. It is a natural non-toxic coating that will make the product more stain and water repellent.
How to clean: Clean it with water and natural soap using a soft cloth. Wipe/rub gently when cleaning your Piñatex item and avoid using any chemical agents. Once the cleaning is done, wipe the item with a clean and dry soft cloth and allow it to dry.
Malai is a biocomposite material made from entirely organic and sustainable bacterial cellulose, grown on agricultural waste sourced from the coconut industry in Southern India. Malai is a flexible, water resistant and durable vegan material with a feel comparable to leather or paper.
How to store: To ensure it remains at its best, apply a thin layer of clear polishing wax or coconut oil to the surface to ensure it remains moisturised. This is especially advisable during hot, dry weather or after cleaning. All our products come with a cotton dust bag. Store your Malai item in the dust bag provided out of direct sunlight and in a position that doesn't crumple the item to help retain its shape.
How to clean: Wipe your Malai with a damp cloth and leave it to air-dry. Avoid drying with intense heat or ironing it as this may cause damage. When it has dried, apply a thin layer of wax or coconut oil will help restore it to its original condition.
