CORK

Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak tree. It is naturally light weight, water repellent, stain resistant and fire resistant

How to store: All our handbags come with a cotton dust bag. When not in use, store your cork item in the dust bag and out of direct sunlight in a position that doesn't crumple the item to help retain its shape.

How to clean: To clean your cork item, wipe/rub gently with water and natural soap using a cloth or soft brush. Do not use chemical agents or abrasive materials as it could cause damage. Once the cleaning is done, wipe the item with a dry soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally.

If discolouration occurs, apply water-based leather paint on affected areas to restore colour.

Piñatex is a natural, non-woven textile made from pineapple leaf fibre. It is a soft, versatile, lightweight and durable material, making it suitable for use across fashion, soft interiors, automotive and other applications.

MALAI

Malai is a biocomposite material made from entirely organic and sustainable bacterial cellulose, grown on agricultural waste sourced from the coconut industry in Southern India. Malai is a flexible, water resistant and durable vegan material with a feel comparable to leather or paper.

How to store: Apply a thin layer of clear polishing wax or coconut oil to the surface to help it remain moisturised when necessary. This is especially advisable during hot, dry weather or after cleaning. Store your Malai item in the dust bag provided out of direct sunlight and in a position that doesn't crumple the item to help retain its shape.

How to clean: Wipe your Malai with a damp cloth and leave it to air-dry. Avoid drying with intense heat or ironing it as this may cause damage. When it has dried, apply a thin layer of wax or coconut oil will help restore it to its original condition.
